The phone call
A musty smell when the system kicks in, one room that never cools, a dryer that needs two cycles — each of those points somewhere different. That first conversation is what decides whether the job is the ducts, the dryer line, or both, and whether somebody needs to get into the attic before anything is quoted.

Opening the system
Every supply register and return grille is unscrewed and set aside, and the air handler cabinet is opened. Until that is done, nobody — us included — knows what is in there. It is also where a problem that is not dirt shows itself: a sagging flex run, a torn foil-tape seal at the plenum collar, a boot that has worked loose from the studs. Customers on our profile name all three.

Photographs before we touch it
The insides get photographed before the brush goes in, because a photograph taken afterwards proves nothing. Customers tell us this is the part they remember. One review says that seeing the buildup made them realise how necessary the cleaning actually was; another describes being shown years of it at the end of the visit.

Vacuum on the line, brush through the run
The vacuum goes on the trunk first, so the system is under suction for the whole job and what we loosen travels into the equipment rather than onto your furniture. Then the brush works each run from the boot back to the plenum. A dryer-vent review puts it plainly: the visit was sealed with an airtight vacuum and no lint escaped into the living rooms.

The pile, the photographs, a swept floor
At the end you see the debris that came out, next to the photographs from before we started, and the photographs are yours. Then the floor gets swept — one review names the technician's protective boots and the whole laundry floor swept before he left, which is the part of the job nobody advertises and everybody notices.
